1050 / 1060 Aluminium Sheet & Coil

Commercial purity aluminium, 99.5 % / 99.6 % Al

1050 / 1060 Aluminium Sheet & Coil

1050 and 1060 are commercial-purity aluminium: 99.5 % and 99.6 % minimum aluminium with almost no alloying additions, which gives excellent conductivity, corrosion resistance and formability at the lowest cost per tonne of any sheet grade. They are soft — the trade-off for that formability — and are used for signage, kitchenware, insulation jacketing and general presswork.

How to choose

Use 1050 or 1060 where formability and conductivity matter. If the part needs strength or anodised appearance, step to 5052, 5754 or 6061 — the price difference per tonne is small compared with a failed press run.

FAQ

What is the difference between 1050 and 1060?
Purity: 99.5 % against 99.6 % minimum aluminium. The practical difference is small; 1060 has slightly better conductivity and corrosion resistance and is the safer choice when the customer writes ‘1060’.
Which tempers do you supply?
O (annealed), H14, H24 and H18, in coil or sheet, mill finish or stucco embossed, from 0.2 mm up.
