50W600 Non-Oriented Electrical Steel Coil (GNO)

Fully processed non-oriented electrical steel, 0.50 mm, GB/T 2521.1

50W600 is the volume grade of non-oriented electrical steel: 0.50 mm thick, maximum core loss 6.00 W/kg at 1.5 T and 50 Hz, guaranteed polarisation of at least 1.68 T. It is the material behind most induction motors, fans, pumps, compressors and small transformers sold into cost-sensitive markets. European buyers know it as M600-50A; at Baosteel it is B50A600.

How to choose

50W600 is the default when a motor has to meet a normal efficiency class without a premium material budget. If your end customer specifies IE3/IE4 or the lamination runs hot, quote 50W470 instead and show the loss difference — it is an easier argument than defending a motor that fails the efficiency test.

Order & delivery

Lead time	15 – 30 days after deposit or L/C for mill-rolled material; stock sizes ship sooner.
Packing	Steel strapping, wooden pallets or crates, edge protection, custom shipping marks.
Payment	T/T with deposit, or L/C at sight. Terms are confirmed on the proforma invoice.
Minimum order	Normally one 20′ container per size; mixed sizes can be combined in one container.
Documents	Invoice, packing list, bill of lading, certificate of origin, EN 10204 3.1 mill test certificate.

FAQ

Do you supply GNO with the certificate for the efficiency calculation?

Yes. The mill certificate states core loss P1.5/50, polarisation B50, thickness, density and stacking factor, which is what the motor design calculation needs.

What coating and tolerance do you supply?

Fully processed with C5 or C6 insulation coating, thickness tolerance per GB/T 2521.1. Semi-processed material is available if your line does its own annealing.
