S355JR High-Strength Carbon Steel Plate
EN 10025-2 structural plate, 355 MPa minimum yield
S355JR is the next step up from S235: 355 MPa minimum yield, 470–630 MPa tensile, still fully weldable and available as plate, coil and sections. It is the grade that lets a fabricator cut steel weight without changing the design, which is why it dominates European structures, cranes and heavy machinery. Its near-equivalents are Q355B, A572 Gr.50 and SM490.
